LEAF Financial Corporation Names Chief Technology Officer. 1/14/2008
PHILADELPHIA, PA. – January 14, 2008 – LEAF Financial Corporation, a subsidiary of Resource America, Inc. (NASDAQ:REXI) announces it has named Earle Compton as Chief Technology Officer. LEAF has created this position to increase our emphasis on the critical role that IT will play in helping us to achieve our business growth objectives.

From 2006 through 2007 Mr. Compton was the Business Unit Leader for Computer Aid Incorporated’s core Applications Services practice, where he was responsible for directing service delivery to CAI’s customers. From 1995 through 2005 Mr. Compton was Vice President, CIO, Information Systems for AmeriGas Partners. In his position Mr. Compton directed all aspects of Information Systems and Technology. From 1990 through 1995 Mr. Compton was Director, North American Systems for Scott Paper Company. In his role he directed strategic planning, application portfolio management, systems development, and application support for North American business units. Mr. Compton received his BSBA in Accounting from Bucknell University and his MBA in Marketing from Widener University.
